This unit, named the EHPU 1100e, allows current Woltman piling and drilling rigs to turn completely emissions free. Beyond these rigs, the EHPU 1100e can also be used as stand alone, to power, for example, vibratory and impact hammers – making these electrically powered. In its concept, its entirely multi-functional and adaptive to a multitude of machines.
As the Frontrunners in deep foundations, a large focus of ours is looking at new innovative solutions to tackle challenges. At Dieseko we have over 50 years of experience with engineering and thinking of new innovations. Which is why Gebr. van’t Hek chose to collaborate on this new project, bringing their own insightful information from the field, and merging it with our expertise.
How it works:
The entire hydraulic system, including both the crane and the drilling attachment (either a vibro- or impact hammer), becomes electrically powered with the EHPU. The EHPU is placed on the back of an existing foundation machine as a counterweight. By doing so, these machines bypass the diesel engine of the Woltman Rig. The EHPU 1100e can power vibratory hammers (with a PVE up to 35VM/ICE36RF) and impact hammers with a weight of up to 28 tons.
Its benefits:
The main benefit of using an EHPU is that you’re suddenly working in a more sustainable and accountable way. Working electrically means having no emissions and thus being more environmentally friendly and falling within the emissions guidelines of more stringent construction sites.
Through its clever and unique design, the EHPU can be added to existing hydraulic equipment in a quick and easy manner – which cuts down the hassle and investment of having to transition to greener energy sources.
Furthermore, you don’t need to part with your existing machinery – but are still able to meet the changing emission quotas with your current machinery. This means that the EHPU is both good for your business and good for the environment.
